1. Scope
DHIS2 and OpenMRS are already installed across Africa. The frontier is using them well. Learn to capture accurate data at the point of care, run data-quality checks, and read HMIS dashboards so reporting actually changes decisions. Built for clinicians, data officers, and students who feed the numbers, with every lesson opening on a narrated, captioned slide deck in English and in French.
2. What the holder can do
- Capture accurate, complete data at the point of care
- Trace a patient visit to a national dashboard indicator
- Run data-quality checks on registers and DHIS2 datasets
- Read HMIS dashboards and separate real signals from artefacts
- Name the core African data systems and say what each is for
- Close the data-use gap in your own facility
