Credential Supplement

AI in Clinical Practice

Mr Goitom Yemane · ADHA-C-2026-6YT66K

Describes the content and assessment behind the certificate it accompanies. Not valid on its own.

1. Scope

AI is reaching the African bedside, from WHO-recommended TB screening to clinical decision support. Become the critical adopter who knows when to trust an algorithm, when to override it, and how to validate it on your own patients. A facilitated certificate for clinicians, nurses, and frontline professionals, capped by a workplace project, with every lesson opening on a narrated, captioned slide deck in English and in French.

2. What the holder can do

  • Separate evidence-graded clinical AI from hype
  • Interpret and safely override AI outputs with documented reasoning
  • Write clear, safe prompts and spot fabrication and bias
  • Plan local validation and bias checks before trusting a model
  • Embed AI in clinical workflows under clinical governance
  • Use EMR and CDSS so digitisation feeds the national platform

3. Competencies assessed

Assessed at Level II — Digital Health Practitioner

  • D6 · Clinical and Public Health Informatics Applications

Configures DHIS2 Tracker for a programme; selects mHealth channels; runs telemedicine models; analyses outbreak data; applies GIS.

  • D4 · Digital Health Governance, Policy and Ethics

4. How it was earned

Standard

  • Completion of every required lesson in the ADHA learning platform.
  • A minimum score of 80% on the end-of-course assessment.
  • A minimum score of 66.66% on the assessed workplace project, marked by ADHA facilitators against a published rubric.
